Metamorphic Technique
What is it?
Metamorphic Technique is a simple practice that involves lightly touching the sides of the feet, hands and head while at the same time providing a space free of direction towards a particular outcome. In other words, as a practitioner, I am present in a detached way with no intentions for any specific outcome.
Benefits
It is a fact that people who have had Metamorphic Technique have reported benefits which can range from general feelings of having more energy and confidence to improvements in physical, mental and emotional health, releasing of old habits or gradually letting go of past hurts.
People will sometimes report significant changes in the way they feel and think about themselves, many even report a growing sense of purpose and inner strength. Some people have described it like “coming home to themselves”.
Who is it for?
The metamorphic technique is suitable for everyone. It is gentle and accessible to all. However, people are often drawn to the technique in times of difficulty or change such as pregnancy, becoming a parent, illness, palliative care, career changes, moving home, divorce, bereavement etc.
It seems people may be drawn to Metamorphic Technique to create more of what they need in their lives both as individuals and in the world as a whole.
On a personal note, while I was attending the second workshop on MT a caterpillar appeared on my leg out of nowhere as we were speaking about the transformation.
The technique was founded by Gaston Saint Pierre in the 1970’s and he also founded the Metamorphic Association, an educational charity, to share this wonderful ritual with the world. It is still thriving and sharing his wisdom across the globe.
